Panic Attacks Causes - What Are The Common Causes Of Panic Disorder?

There are many different panic attacks causes and although sometimes they do stem from one traumatic experience, this isn’t always the case. There seems to be so much stress and tension in life today and as a result there is a large number of people that suffer from panic or anxiety disorders.
Phobias are one of the most common causes of panic attacks, phobias such as fear of large crowds, public speaking, fear of having an accident while driving, among many other phobias.
In some people this fear can become so strong and gets stronger and stronger each time they think about or encounter the situation that they are afraid of. This can eventually lead to them having a panic attack and once they have that first attack then they have another added fear - the fear of the panic attack itself. This extra fear is enough to bring on more attacks every time you think of or are faced with your phobia.
Another common cause of panic disorder is that one traumatic event, such as major illness or surgery, marriage breakdown, loss of a job or the death of a loved one. One big event like this can change your whole mindset and you will experience many different emotions. For some people they don’t seem to handle these situations too well and can slip into depression and/or may begin to experience panic attacks.
Underlying mental disorders like depression can also cause panic attacks. It is quite common for depression sufferers to also suffer from a panic or anxiety disorder. Depression affects your mind and the way that you think and when you are thinking negatively over a long period of time you begin to feel like you will never escape these feelings. You may even develop a fear of being depressed forever among other fears that might develop that perhaps wouldn’t have developed if you weren’t suffering from depression.
The mind is a very tricky think and it isn’t always rational and when you suffer from an anxiety or panic disorder the irrational part of the brain takes over. It is amazing how your body will respond to these irrational thoughts as the body’s natural response to panic kicks in as though it were in a dangerous situation, when all the time it is just your thoughts putting you in that position.
Panic attacks really can ruin your life if you don’t take action to stop them. Panic attacks causes are varied, but they are all real and whatever the cause of your panic attacks, know that you can overcome this disorder but you must make the decision yourself to do so.
